I got a couple of new buildings finished. All scratchbuilt, no commercial castings or parts aside from styrene and brick sheets.

Your apartment building looks great. Have you ever looked at some of the BJ Traction kits. You will have to find them on E-Bay or the used market as they are no longer in business. One of the kits was a uniquely Chicago apartment building similar to the one you have built.A 79th street store , a Hudson auto show room and a movie theatre and similar 3 story buildings. Also was a back alley wall of some sort.Check these out I think you will be quite happy with them and will fit into your motif. Sometimes they will show up on E-Bay under    " O gauge" with the sub category "Traction"

I thought of some Chicago oriented  building kits in O and S which you could use. The 'Twin Whistle' White Tower and most of the 'DSL' kits were inspired by his observations in the Ch.icago area. Some were only S scale while others were O and some in both.

Halstead Hobbies ,Goldblatt Dep. Store ,Firehouse Front ,Pershing Bakery , a Berwyn Bungalow. DSL was run by Dave Lull. His site is at dslshops.com .So he is still in business. Nice kits mostly fronts I have used them in the past.

Another outfit 'SLM' which I think was in Baltimore had a Town Grill which could be used anywhere in the US. They also had a Pig Barbecue which woudn't fit into your sity scheme. Much stonger in HO
