HOLY COW! I have got to tell you i'm at the end of my rope with China over these generals! They are built and are shipping from ASIA ON 9/11. NO WONDER most of the model train manufactuers can't deliver on time. No matter how hard the american companies try, vendor management is impossible to control from thousands of miles away.

So providing there are no hurricanes they should be arriving on AMERICAN soil 3 to 4 weeks from 9/11.

BOTH LIONEL AND LCCA ARE SO SORRY FOR THE DELAY. YOU FOLKS ARE THE BEST TRAINS GUYS IN THE WORLD.

THANKS AGAIN SO VERY MUCH

LOUIE

really its doing very well since i have some vendor control. there are 3 locos here being tested. all the cars and boxes are completed.

watch for a short run lower priced tinplate set to be announced once this is delivered . i'm hoping to have a sample by YORK but its very questionable.

thanks

I would love to open a small manufacturing company in the USA, But with the over seas competion, its near impracticle. I currently own an Electronics Recycling plant in PA. we dis-assemble electronics and process the parts and materials for re entry into the manufacturing fields. We are in direct competion with the asian markets. We are also a ZERO EXPORT company. In fact, we are so comitted to not exporting, we incorporated the name, Zero Export Recycler's, LLC. If it were not for the Americans concern where this hazardous waste goes, i dont think I would be able to sustain my Plant, with the Chinese competion.

But, on the other end of the spectrum, manufacturing is a whole other ball game. Every one Complains about cheap chinese made crap, but the same ones complianing, dont have the financial ability or just dont want to spend MORE for products made right here in the US of A, espesially when the same thing (almost) is available for less, but is made over seas.  So, its a catch 22 situation.   RW
