3-15-14 Train Excursion from Owasso MI to Clare MI (Video Recap)
Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) members were scheduled to board the Pere Marquette 1225 steam locomotive for its inaugural run presented by Railyard Production as a “Return to Rails Excursion.” Due to a last minute MDOT decision regarding rail bridge inspections and heavy snow conditions, the steam train excursion portion of the trip was greatly reduced. We were powered by diesel locomotives for most of the excursion. During our return trip to Owosso MI, we connected with the Pere Marquette and were pulled into Owasso behind the 1225 Steam locomotive.
