I have not received them, yet. Looking forward to them.
Steve,
Haven't heard anybody talk about receiving theirs yet. The latest info posted here was early Feb, which stated:
"The three cars of the Texas Special add on set have been approved and are scheduled to be received by the LCCA at the end of February 2014. Sets should start shipping to members shortly after."
Which implies folks who ordered them should be seeing them any day now. Perhaps it's time for an LCCA update?
David
I received a LCCA red carpet update email last Friday that stated, under "product delivery" that they were to be shipped starting last Monday. I was hoping that members who ordered them living in close proximity to Ill. might have received the set. Anyway, when you do please post photo's.
I live on the West Coast so delivery of the sets will take longer.......shucks!

The LCCA site states the following.
The Texas Special add-on cars are now scheduled to ship first week of March. This web site will advise the actual ship date. The 2014 Convention car is scheduled to ship before the convention - date will be advised when we know it.
They will tell us on the LCCA web site as to the date they will be shipped.
Hope that helps clear it up.
The Shipping schedule would only be valid if Lionel Delivered on time.
What are the odds of that happening?
They have not arrived in Central Ohio yet.
"The Shipping schedule would only be valid if Lionel Delivered on time."
LCCA says that they now have the cars in their possession. So now it's just a matter of days to a week as they are packaged and shipped. Part of the delay is due to manufacturing issues in China, and part no doubt to the tragic illness and death of Lou Caponi who was the engine who made this program run. This would be a good time to be grateful for what Lou and the LCCA have done, IMO.
Not in Carmel
Not in Philly yet.

Something must have gone wrong. LCCA would not have sent out shipping info via email unless they thought cars would in the hands of the shipping contractor. It's anyone's guess what happened. We just have to wait it out.

The LCCA has not announced the shipping date on the 3 cars yet, the shipping date will be shown on the web site.
According to the LCCA e-mail dated March 7th the 3 car set would begin shipping the following Monday which would be March 10th. Seems like there may have been a delay or I would have thought some folks would have received the set by now. Maybe this week some will show up.

Thanks again for the update Al. A lot of work and time goes into the final process of getting these cars ready for members. I appreciate all the work you and your staff does to get the LCCA offerings to its members.

I got my shipping notice today from FedEx. The three car set is shipping from Peru, IL. I should have them Friday or Saturday. Al thank you for all that you and the officers and volunteers do to make the LCCA the best train club to belong to.

Same here. Sounds like things are happening .
Anybody in the latter part of the Alphabet , ( last name), getting fed ex
emails,
not at the "P" yet
thanks
Mine is "S" and I got my notice yesterday. The tracking info said delivery today
but it never showed.
"R" two days ago----delivery tomorrow,perhaps?
Norm
Received the notice from FedEx that the cars would ship on Wed and
be received on Friday.
Checking with FedEx showed that the cars are still in Illinois.
The shipping label was made and sent to FedEx but the cars
have not been picked up by FedEx.
Check the FedEx web site and see if the cars are still in IL.
With the last shipment, the Switcher and Calf set, I did not get any notice from FedEx and it took more time for delivery to the West Coast. I hope I get FedEx notice this time.

"T" yesterday, Wednesday. Says should receive them on Saturday.
Per FedEx e-mail, delivery tomorrow in Columbus, Ohio. We shall see first thing tomorrow morning if the package was scanned at the Columbus hub sometime tonight.
Sorry guys, The nightmare continues! I ask myself, what else can go wrong. I hope this new delay just adds to the folklore for these items, I was just informed that Fed Ex came to pick up the cars today, but were unable to pick up and ship out. The Fed-ex Truck was too small to take the 8 full pallets of cars. We are being told the Fed-ex ground shipment truck is supposed to come back and pick them up tomorrow afternoon from our shipping location in NJ. I am sorry for this additional delay, but this is the latest formation I have. Thank you for your continued patience and support.
Stay tuned for future updates.

Thank you Al. You spend a lot of time working to make things right for the
rest of us. I appreciate you efforts.
FedEx shows the 3 car set was shipped today from NY state not from Peru, IL
and should arrive in Michigan on Tues April 1.
Thanks, Al, we're looking forward to these great cars.
I let Mike M know I will be writing a review.
