Is there another way to build your layout outside of the iPad app?  Maybe on a PC with a mouse?  I have a large layout that is built with gargraves track and custom bent turns.  Furthermore, many of the switches are #4 or #6, which are not available on the LCS app.  What alternatives do I have?

Let me know you track design app tricks and hints.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I finally succumbed to getting out a stylus and doing it on the iPad. I so wanted to mouse and PC!

I too was slightly disappointed with LCS app on my iPad. The primary function is control rather than design and from what I understand, still undergoing a lot of development.

If I could get the ability to at least control my engines on my iphone (which LCS is incompatible with), it would make me quite happy.

Your GOOD alternative for layout planning on pc is RR Track. It is very expensive from what I have seen for all of the track and accessory packs, but I dont think you will find a higher quality design program.

Now if I could import my RR Track layout into the iPad...

Great Idea!

the guy from RR-Track is plenty sharp. He could build a really nice layout control system into his program by adding a parameter for control of switches, blocks or accessories as he has each of these.

I haven't spoke to him in years I assume he's still around.

As far as using the SC-2s I though you needed a SER2 to connect them? no?

I just sent a comment to the guy at RR-Track; if we all do it he MAY add an LCS feature!
