LCS App. save function

When you do a save on the iPad LCS app. and you sync to iTunes in a PC,what is the difference between save to and add to in PC itunes? Can you restore the layout from the PC to the iPad?

Where is the file in the iPad that is synced to the PC?

Yes but without being in front of my PC I can't recall the procedure.
