I'm going to be in Mystic area next week and I was wondering about this place that I saw on line.
Any other worthwhile LHS in the Mystic area?

I keep hoping business will take me near enough I can visit: I really should visit the place.
Someone, sometime in the last - oh, maybe six months - started a thread about this, as I recall. I tried to use the search feature here just now to find that thread but could not find it. I recall someone on that thread said it was mostly an old toy store - not that many trains, but I'm not sure. You could call and ask, I suppose, if they have Lionel, MTH, etc.
Being they are from the Mystic area, I wonder if they might have a piece of Gilbert or two.
Don't waste your time. they mostly carry toys. Have a few HO items but not many O. Any cars they carry are full retail.
If you need a few basic supplies like paint/glue/scenic materials etc there ok, but beyond that it is nothing worth a special trip.

Not sure if you are traveling 95 or not but Branford Hobbies Just East of New Haven maybe worth a trip for you.

I grew up about a quarter mile from Lee's New London store, long gone now, which was about half trains with HO, S, and O display layouts. The existing Groton store is a general toy and hobby shop, and much smaller. Their train selection is a bit limited these days, but the folks that run the place are very nice.
