Is it possible to use a Legacy Y cable to connect a TIU to a computer to change a sound set, upgrade the DCS, etc?
No, it is not. You need an RS232C straight-through cable with a male 9-pin connector on the TIU end and, typically, a female 9-pin connector at the PC end. Regardless, check the PC COMM port to be sure.
These typically are labeled "keyboard extender"or "modem" cables, however, do not use a "null modem" cable.
