Hi

Can anyone please tell me if Lenz O scale track is identical to Atlas track in regards to tie size and spacing and rail size?

Also, are the turnouts the same as either Atlas turnout?

I have read on some sites the Lenz track and turnouts are more like Peco code 143 flat bottom rail turnouts with 1:43 (7mm)  sized ties and spacing.

Thanks Daryl

When Lenz track was manufactured in China I'm told it had some commonality with Atlas track;  now that it is manufactured in the UK by Peco, the rail at least is common with the Peco 143 -- you'll note on the Lenz website they sell Peco rail joiners !

I note from your past forum posts that you model modern North American railways [ at least in 3R ];  if that is the case here in 2R I would certainly suggest the Peco track with its Pandrol fittings -- superb looking.  You can then use the Peco turnout -- again, a superb product in looks and operation -- supplemented by Lenz turnouts where space / application requires, such as double slips, curved, 3-way, etc.

If this is for a 3R application then the Peco track + Atlas 3R turnouts would be a good combination.

If you are buying used Lenz items, they may be from the China era and use different rail joiners, etc.

I hope the above helps.

Best regards,

SZ
