A short video from last year:
I love the subject of Christmas layouts.
I think you guys will enjoy revisiting this blog post from last year:
Here are a few from my 2021 Christmas "layout" .
Here is "old faithful" , my $10 Marx 400 plastic engine pulling the train after disaster struck on Christmas Eve and my expensive Lionel engine just would not run. Luckily for me...all the "sounds and effects" are in the tender so all that worked with the Marx loco as well.
Here is "you know who" riding along on the NYC caboose. We are from Waco,Tx (home of the birth of "Dr. Pepper" so that Christmas car is a must!
Here is the Christmas village crew...Now the stationmaster can see why getting a Coke out of the machine is tough!!
Christmas village and snow man water tower.
Here is video of the train in operation.
Well Happy Christmas everyone. @Garrett76 - I have to say, with a layout at Christmas that beautiful and elaborate, you must start the process of putting it up on 4th of JULY!!
Best wishes all

Hi Folks,
Thanks, Everyone, for sharing and getting this thread started again!!!!!!!!
Here is something I did a few years ago in a very small space, 2 ft by 3 ft, with GarGraves bent to fit a 24" diameter, measured like O27 track, tie edge. Something for those who are really space-challenged:
Take care, Joe.
Christmas trees were on the layout, on the family room floor, from 1981 to 2010. The layout was down from mid December until late January of next year. After 2010, train layout has been up permanently on legs, in train room above two car garage.
These pictures from 2008.

Thanks. I had about 1/2 of it built the prior year. The two tedious elements were painting the backdrop and wiring the accessories. Since that's done, this year's setup will go much quicker. We had a Christmas party in early Dec. The deadline forced me to go into overtime to get everything done. My goal every year is a completed layout by Thanksgiving.
