Hi All,

I picked this engine up over the weekend at a show, the engine runs good, but the tender has a short in the wiring (looks like both melted together)

I need to replace the wires coming off the 2 spots on the collector.  Is there a way to disassemble the truck assembly without being able to remove the rivot that holds the truck on the base? before I go prying at things, I thought I would ask first :-)

see my pics below

so whoever had this last decided it was a good idea to "Fix it" by cutting the wires from the pcb and the collector assembly and then tie them all together with a wire nut (Hot and ground touching together)...

so my next question...

does the L1 on the PCB go to the center rail tab on the collector or on the side rail connector... and by extension which tab would L2 then go to (by default)

L1 currently has a red (looks to be original wire)  and L2 a black wire

the wiring coming from the collector is melted and both black covered leading to what was the wire nut.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Thanks
Dan
