Recently added the new CNJ Red Baron set to the layout. Minimum track size 054. Mine is 060. The adjacent Track has my 21 Inch Broadway Limited Cars running on 072 track also meeting the required minimum. So I run the new Red Baron set and it works great. The other day I noticed there is now a 2 inch long scratch on the side of the Tower View Observation Car on the 21 inch Broadway Limited car which came from the front end railings of the Red Baron engine. I am assuming that if two tracks are adjacent to each other, one 060 and the other 072, and they meet the minimum track size required for what is on them, they should not come in contact? The Tower View observation car came in a 4 car set which is nearly impossible to find or replace unless someone knows where I might purchase another set. I guess my only option is to try and paint it. Does anyone know what specific paint would match those Broadway Cars. I waited well over a year and a half for these Broadways cars to arrive and to have this happen is upsetting to say the very least.

Very sorry to hear. The minimum curve is the smallest curve the car will run on and has nothing to do with clearances. My understanding at least.
Try harry hike, maybe he could fix it
The fact that it'll negotiate a curve means it'll stay on the track. It has nothing to do with its ability to clear the track next to it with the infinite variables associated with that consideration. You need to check and verify that yourself.

I guess I should not have assumed what I did. It would be helpful if they provided some information regarding clearances as well. Those 21 inch cars protrude out quite a bit on the curved section of 072 and that is where the contact was made. Thanks for you reply!
