I have the NYC 6-11150 and it's safe to assume that the latest releases will be mechanically equivalent.
I've never tried to pull a really long train with mine. Eight to ten free rolling freight cars on a short O72 loop were no problem. However- with five MTH New York Central heavyweights in tow (6-wheel trucks and pickup rollers) I could tell that it was working harder than my MTH 20-3020 Premier Hudson, which usually pulls that train.
This loco has a fairly small Mabuchi motor and is geared to attain passenger speeds. It isn't really suited to pulling stumps. The prototype was an early 20th Century design. After Pacifics arrived most Ten-Wheelers spent the rest of their lives on branch lines. If hauling long trains is your thing, an MTH Pennsy G5 or Western Maryland-style H9 2-8-0 would be a better choice. And if you must have Legacy, I would spend a little more to get one of the Lima berks (which have smaller driving wheels and the larger Sagami motor.)
