Lionel 624 brush plate bushing broken

The brass bushing in the brush plate on my 624 switcher in which the top of the armature turns is broken. A chunk at the top just broke off for no obvious reason. The motor still runs, but I am guessing this is not a good situation. Is it possible to replace just the bushing or do I need to replace the whole brush plate assembly? I do not find the bushing listed anywhere as a separate part.
