I've got a few old (metal) Lionel 71s which need new hot wires to the base of the socket. The tiny insulator and conductor might be a bit challenging for my weak soldering skills. Does anyone know of an online seller who might have replacement parts for sale?

Sure looks like the right design, but it doesn't have sizing or say " for 71". I'll email them and ask.
Thanks Chuck!
Let us know what they say. Thanks.
The service manual for the #71 calls out for a #61-22 lamp contact. The part linked above is the correct part.

I think the 671-223 lamp contact with wire (often called "lamp contact with pigtail") is going to be too short. Emailing them is a good idea.
I suggest getting replacement springs too. They are often rusty enough to not work well. The part number for the spring is R-91.
Got a quick reply from Sharon there, and she confirms that this part number will indeed work.
If it does turn out to be too short I can always solder wire/wire. I may just order a couple at first to see.
Thanks again for the info & lead!
