so my wonderful wife found a great example of a lionel blue comet 8801, the engine i've wanted since i was 9, we picked it up yesterday, but no time to play with trains, since i'm working the next two upcoming nights, i thought i'd run it this morning. i put it on my christmas train first, 11 cars, powered by a KW seemed to have no problems, also seemed to be about the best non fan driven smoke unit i've ever seen! i then switched it over to my inner loop powered by a CW-80 noticed the overload light blinking and steady loss of power, and MORE smoke! started to smell nasty so i tokk it off before further damage. i'm going to take it back to the shop maybe friday, but it is used and old after all, no time to take it apart right now, any ideas?

Dave
