Lionel, Atlas, & MTH........... How about offering your rolling stock with unique numbers like Menard's presents!
Unique Numbers is a great feature!

Personally, I'd rather have prototypical car numbers.
MTH does offer some 6 car sets each catalog that has unique car numbers. Menards uses decals for their unique numbers that probably would not be acceptable on $60 to $90 freight cars.

All of them already do. Multipacks from lionel are individually numbered cars. MTH offers 2 numbers for individual sales, and typically 2 6 packs of unique numbers; 14 cars with different numbers. Every atlas suffix is a different road number. This is nothing new.

Uh, generally speaking, L, M and A already tend to offer RS with multiple numbers. At least on the better-to-best products. All multiple car sets come with uniquely numbered pieces.
====Oh - I looked at the ad (when in doubt, read the instructions) - now I understand - not just unique within the set, but unique within the production run. OK. Good. The length of the car (14.75") is very long - must include the couplers.

And the correct font.

Prior to MTH offering two 6 car sets of freight cars, all with individual road numbers, I would purchase 6 or 8 C&O 2-bay coal hoppers at a time, and then have the road numbers changed prior to weathering. Ever since MTH began offering two different 6-car sets of C&O 2-bay coal hoppers, all with different road numbers, many years ago, I eventually got to my goal of a 55 car C&O coal train.
The 6-Car sets from Lionel in the past and MTH over the past few years are close.
