The app is nothing special, you can buy these cameras on amazon today and install them in any caboose you want. You can use the Lionel app or find other on your app store, there are a few that work better than the current app from Lionel. The P2PCAM app detailed in the manual submitted by Lionel to the FCC is a very good app. I have used it before on other non train projects.

Here is the Lionel camera app in action: Click Here

Here is a brief write up I made on the app and available cameras: Click Here

Or buy the k-Line camera car and broadcast live to your TV.

Clem, I'd be curious about the output quality of the K-line of 2003 compared to the stuff being made today. I haven't been able to find any demonstration videos of this car in action.

I built my camera car using more modern and customization equipment that the Drone FPV flyers have been using for a while. It uses one of 40 channels the 5.8GHz band that has very low interference, and you can choose from many different cameras, viewing angles, transmitters, receivers and antennas.

I was able to build my camera car for about $75 and it plugs into any TV with a composite video input: https://ogrforum.com/...35#72805549098596735
