Just received this one from Charles Ro. Lionel has a series of Cooperstown Collection baseball-themed cars based on teams that had players in the inaugural Hall of Fame Class in the 1930's.

This is the Washington Senators car (Walter Johnson was the inductee). Great for me as a grew up a fan of the old Washington Senators. Love the old school logo.

Also, did they make cars for all the other teams that have moved and changed names?

The baseball team here in D.C. is the Washington Nationals. Currently in first place in the National League East.

The other teams they made are the Yankees, Tigers, Pirates, and NY Giants. All in their original cities except for the Giants who are in S.F.

90's? Nope. Expos moved to to D.C. and became the Nats after the 2004 season. Inaugural season was 2005. Been a season ticket holder since.

I had to look it up. They didn't go dormant, the original Washington Senators became the Minnesota Twins in 1961. Then an expansion Washington Senators team was created in 1961 which became the Texas Rangers in 1972. That's all the further I followed it.

When I was a kid there were 8 American League and 8 National League teams. Sometime in the early '60s they expanded to 10 teams each. It gets confusing after that to get to where we are today.

Absolutely correct. The expansion Senators were terrible. That was the team I saw a lot of as a kid. In 1969, they finished above .500 for the first time in years and we all went nuts. Still remember the last game in 1971 -- 9/30/71 against the Yankees. A sad day.
