Was on the fence about this for a long time and finally picked up this Lionel 1926120 Freightsounds reefer car last week. Here is a video of it on the layout, and I am very pleased with the added dimension it provides. I rarely buy anything new, but for me this was worth the purchase. Enjoy!

I have 2 boxcars and 2 reefers, they certainly add more sound to the layout.
I also find the sound cars add an extra element of "neatness" to running trains...however I have to run them with the switch set to the "min" position. Set at "max" and the thumping is a jarring to my nerves.

Yes, I was thinking the same.
Yep, the Minimum setting is actually not bad, the MAX is... well too MAX!
