Ok I bought one of these used and its not working. After gently taking it apart there's a chain of diodes I am assuming there called are the issue . I tested the pcb its producing 6 volts to the motor and the motor works when I by pass the diodes .. Item 9 shows the 1N4001. The pack assembly is not available. This was addressed here on the forum a short time ago.

You can get them here: 1N4001 at Digikey for 43 cents each, shipping is typically only about $2 for small orders. Connect three of them as shown in the wiring diagram and you're off to the races.
Useful parts to keep a few on-hand. 
RadioShack actually had them and I got 10 for 3 bucks. .. Now your saying 3 wired up? Not 4 like it was from the factory.. Never mind I read the plans 3 it is.
