I just picked up a Lionel JLC TMCC scale GG1 (single stripe) and it really doesn't run very slowly at all. Just slowly running up the throttle, it takes off. Any ideas as to what the problem is? Runs fine otherwise.
I just got the 4925 GG1 and it's a great engine. I took it to San Diego to run on the San Diego 3 Railers layout and it performed perfectly for six hours of running. I already had a scale Williams Tuscan Red GG1 with Dallee electronics innards that I've never had a problem with, but I wanted a Brunswick Green model too. After reading the GG1 comparisons in another Forum, I went out and got the Lionel version.
