When will the hard copies be mailed out to LCCA members? Will the SD70ACe be correct - fuel tank length distance to track etc? I want a hard copy in my hands before I preorder anything. Thanks Bruce

You mean the catalogs were NOT mailed yet?
Will the SD70ACe be correct - fuel tank length distance to track etc?
Suggest you ask the folks directly at Lionel that question.
I want a hard copy in my hands before I preorder anything.
Does the "hard copy" help make items correct?
Thanks Bruce
Lighten up....

Then I suggest you construct a layout with a minimum of 072 curves.
Ive got to agree with Hot Water, how does having a hard copy change the artwork in the catalog? If the rest of the SD70ACe locos were not correct then it would be safe to assume these will follow the previous runs however if the previous ones were all correct then what are you worried about. I have 10 or 11 of the Lionel SD70ACe and love them all. Never noticed all these issues you speak of
Mine just arrived this afternoon.
Speaking of the SD70Ace Loinel says First release proper headlight arrangements per road name. Long Hood end details customized by road. 2 numbers per road. 0-36 Min Curve. Note: the air gap between the truck and frame is not there in real life. In the new catalog it shows a air gap between the truck and frame. So makes me wonder if there will be a air gap between the truck and frame on the New SD70Ace, as shown in the the new catalog. Yuk don't look so good.
Is it possible to build a 3-rail locomotive with hi-rail wheels, that is rated for O-36 minimum curves to not have the large air gap between the truck & the underside of the frame?
I have never owned a Lionel locomotive but even the MTH Norfolk Southern SD70M-2 with scale-wheels that I owned had the large gap that some hobbyists on this forum dislike. The only models that I own that don’t have this gap are the brass, 2-rail, long sold-out models like the 10-year-old SD70ACe in the following photo. This model had an absolute minimum curve of O-81 (40.5” radius) with a recommended curve of O-99 or higher.
These are just my opinion,
Thanks,

Yes I think it can be done as Lionel has done it. Have a Lionel SD70 from a few years back and it has a small air gap between the trucks and the frame. What they are showing in the new catalog is like wow hope its a misprint.
I got one mailed to me from Nassau on Friday. Enjoyed it all Labor Day weekend long.
