Will Lionel diesel locomotives run on o-45 curves. For example The Lionel sd40 Chessie system item number 6-82274 or any of the es44ac?

Most likely 3 axle trucks will be difficult on O45 track. I have an atlas SD 35 that does not work well on even O54 track.
This is a pair of Atlas Dash 8 40 BW's on O45 track. Two axle trucks.
Thank you for the reply Mike. Although this wasn't the answer i was hoping for. O well I will just have to invest in a wider curve. any suggestions for a simple trackplan using a wider curve for a 10X10 space?

Here's one that's O-72 in a 10x10 I did as a design challenge.

You can run the SD40 on O-45. The SD40 will operate on O-45 curves, only with new freight cars that have flexible couplers that will bend in the curves.

Thank you for the track plan Matt i really like the idea of the over under but i forgot to mention in my last post that the track will be on the floor unless i can figure a way to build a 30 inch draw or lift bridge ( track would end up being mth or fastrack). Also if it was to be placed on a table two of the tables would be 2 foot x 8 foot and the other two would be shorter to fit the lift or draw bridge. But i will be keeping your plan in the back of my head for future use as i do like the idea.
Andrew would the modern 60'boxcars be ok (the only one i currently own is 6-27086) if not which car or cars would you recommend? Im just getting back into O scale and I really appreciate all the help and information i have recived on this forum so far.
Note that some 3 axle trucks have blind drives, (without the flange) , which makes a difference on smaller curves.
Weaver E8 with the blind driver in the middle.
This Weaver Alco C630 has the blind driver, as the third axle, in under the unit. The trucks flop around a lot. I have two C630s, from Weaver, one has plastic third axle wheels as the blind drivers, the other metal, which will short on tight curves occasionally.
Poor picture, but note how the left, rear, pictured axle/wheel set, on the front truck, is beyond the track. O54 curve.
This asymmetrical, Alco truck, with the extended truck frame, for the third axle, is more difficult on O54 and smaller curves.
The older, Atlas, SD35s, that I mentioned, also have the blind drivers, not installed, in the box. The units have to be dismantled, and the axles/wheel sets changed, blind driver in the middle.
Thank you everyone for the help. I came across a video on YouTube that was able to help answer all other questions i had.
