The CBS Spl tonight of the 'I Love Lucy' Christmas show had a good shot of Lionel trains!  You could tell it was a product placement or whatever they called it back then as the train was set up on the floor and the big yellow 'LIONEL' box was upright behind the layout.....and Ricky was setting it up before little Ricky got up. Don;t know my 1950 era Lionel to rtell what set it was....sure someone here will....

 

Just shows how important Lionel was mid 50's.

At least twice! the version above was for a home DVD version about 1990.....not as well done as the CBS version Friday night. The CBS version was done using a palette of colors designed to look like 1950's Kodachrome or the like.
