Lionel Pioneer Zephyr lubrication

I recently acquired a Lionel Legacy Pioneer Zephyr (6-38860). The engine runs great, and I have done the basic lubrication as prescribed by the Lionel manual, and that I do on all my engines. I was wondering if there was any way to lubricate inside the engine's trucks, where the motor drive makes contact with the axle gear (like on a steam loco). Would this require taking the entire engine apart, and is it even necessary?
