Most modern factory stuff I have is from the '70's. Mostly it's all '40's to '60's stuff, with a little '20's and '30's run once in awhile. I have a few new items that I made using parts from old parts.
I'll show you 3 PostWar layouts of mine......the last one with a few MPC items
My bedroom in the Bronx, probably winter 71-72 or 72-73
My living room in Baltimore, about 80-81.
Spare bedroom, Richmond VA, winter 1986.

While I have modern equipment, my layout is definitely postwar inspired. I also have a lot of prewar/postwar trains that are frequent runners on the layout.
I'll post photos when I get the layout cleaned up.

Hello Peter
Great story & photos........ Post War "Like WOW"
Great start on layouts and pics, thanks
Mike
My layout is decidedly post-war in concept with a little pre-war atmosphere mixed in. I run mostly post-war and pre-war on it but I also run modern era stuff as well. The first several photos are of my regular layout while the last one is a little all tinplate module i built last year.
great layouts guys!
Great photo's guys. I love the smell of ozone pellet smoke
anytime of day, or night.
Many thanks,
Billy C
Early years.. I have progressed to more modern equipment and accessories and scenery. But, I still run my smoking 2026 with passenger consist, 1665 switcher and my road hog 773 with coal and flat cars.
