I am looking to buy the Lionel Western Pacific powered A and B unit. The lionel # for the AB set with the dummy B unit is 6-38707. I want a powered A unit and a powered B unit. I think the number for the B unit is 6-38711. I don't know the # for the powered A unit only.

I think I saw that set at Legacy Station the other day
They have the set I mentioned. The b unit is not powered.
Somewhat confused on what you are looking for. If you want to end up with both powered A and B I suspect that you will have to buy the AB 6-38707 and the separate powered B 6-38711 then simply keep the non-powered B packed away. I don't think you will find too many that will break up the AB 2-pack.
BTW, I owned a set of the WP Scale F7 ABA and they were really nice just like these F3s. I don't model that era but I was very impressed by the detail and features.
You may want to give nassau hobbies a call as soon as possible. I know they had one set of abba on there York table at closing of the show on Friday. It was the last one.
