Well, that is exactly what Mack did. They used a Ford "C" series cab and mounted it to their own frame and drivetrain.

Yes, that is correct. Budd was building those cabs.
They stared around 1957 for ford and Mack till I think around 61 or 62 when the Mack MB came out there was one in between the MB and the N can't recall it but it looked line a England type dodge L
That grill was a nightmare to make took me several try's before I got it
