Matchbox Models of Yesteryear 1927 Ford A "Station Wagon" 1:40 scale model

This 1:40 scale diecast vehicle is a neat model that could be used on a O scale model railroad or for use on a separate diorama. While larger than 1:48 scale it would be useful as a foreground model.

It is a close replica of the classic 1927 Ford Model A wagon. The model is actually a typical vehicle used to transport passengers to and from a railroad station (hence "a station wagon").  Although this is a steam era model it could be heavily weathered and used on a more modern era layout.

Murray Body Company, located in Detroit, Michigan, was tasked with creating a wooden body constructed of hard or soft maple, paneled with birch plywood. The bodies were then placed on the Model A chassis. There were fewer than 12,000 examples of the Model A station wagon built.
