Found that you can sort the Forum Members by Map.  Not surprising, Pennsylvania holds the highest member count of 787 with NY a close second 631 and NJ with 515.

Internationally we even have 2 members from Poland.

I see Texas, a state you can drop pretty much the entire Northeast into, has but 217.   At least we beat Poland.

Seems we have 285 members here in Maryland.  Not bad for a little state!

I think that the number of people on at one time is also interesting.  At this time, there are 1,200 folks currently on line (287 logged in and 913 guests)!

I would not place too much faith in the OGR Forum published stats regarding the number of people currently logged in vs guests etc. If you log in to the site as a member and fail to log out when your session has ended but just close the application on your laptop or other device, the next time you open the application you will find that you are still logged in and most likely have been counted as logged in during the entire period of your absence. If you take the trouble of deleting all cookies on your machine after a session you will then be logged out

or not automatically logged in when you open the application. Either way, the stats in my estimation provide little or no useful guidance to the interested observer.

Your results may vary.

1.  You have to be signed in as a member

2.  When you are signed in as a member, "Members" will appear between "Calendar" and "Search" on the blue bar below the banner ads.  Click on it.

3.  Now click on the drop down box on the right just above "OGR Forum Sponsors" and then click on "Map."

Thanks for making us aware.  Also scrolled through the member list and observed a lot of people have not signed on for years, which would inflate the map numbers for those surprised by the counts for their states (presuming all are included in the map statistics).  Dead, dead to the hobby, Facebook/Twitter casualties, or just men (and women) of few words?

What, me worry?

Marty E,

This does not surprise me, with all the people who worked for the railroads and all the people who worked building the railroads and the Union Switch & Signal employees & and the Westinghouse Air Brake employees families building railroad electronics & Air Brakes, Pa kids grew up with a lot of their fathers working for the railroad industry in some way or another, most all of us owned Lionel or American Flyer O Gauge trains as part of our family Christmas tradition.  There is little doubt IMO why Pa has so many members here on the OGR. Pa little boys & girls played with the toys that emiulated their parents real life everyday jobs.  Many of us OGR members are part of those families.
