Great offerings as usual, Bob and Menards. Nice to see you have a sense of humor over the NH gondola. Handsome piece either way
In all honesty, Menard’s wide range of rolling stock does lend itself to be collectable... gotta have one of each, and the “HN” might be the “pièce de résistance”
CBob, that is really funny.
Looks like he also has some factory error Menard's tubular track as well...
Probably depends how many are like that. If it's all of them, well........

About as collectable as the "collectable plates" of a decade or two ago.
I wouldn't bet my retirement on them.

The menards stuff is great for the price. But, I agree! The next collector might be finding it in a garbage can and not paying for it...and that not only for the menards...stuff.

Totally agree...
Collectable as in - it’s fun to hunt for each, acquire them, strut around the Masterforce tool section and tell everyone of your great accomplishment, receive blank stares, try the strut back in the door section, more blank stares, tell your wife you’ve got the “HN” and it’s supposed to be “NH”, receive eye rolls, then go on the OGR forum and guess about the latest release.
I don’t think anyone looks at o gauge rolling stock as an appreciable asset, but rather an ‘investment in happiness’ as Lionel used to say.
Is there a list of the sets Lionel did forMenards before making trains? I think the Soo Line set was exclusive to Menards only.
Had to stop at Menards for a furnace filter and some other household items after work today. A walk through the train aisle found a fully stocked end cap shelf full of rolling stock. I decided that one more box car wont hurt the budget. Now, the decision was tough. GT, V&O, Lehigh Valley, and then I saw the red CP car. CP won out on tonight's visit.
MOW PRR! I'm in!
