Updating my inventory. One of those tedious tasks that I never seem to get around to.

I'm working in my military cars. I plan to bring out the rotary snow plow soon.
Snow just started here around 1 PM, so I'm about to head down into the shop and do some weathering work.
Making a pot roast and looking at the forum...........
Let's see surfing the web, this forum, board games with my kids, beer, and listening to podcasts or music.
Along with admiring the view out the window.
Usually from this angle I can see the GW Bridge and the Hudson River. Not today. In 10 minutes at 2:30 all car traffic in NYC will be shut down until tomorrow. At 4:00 all above ground tracks of the NYC subway are being closed as well.
I started boxing up rolling stock as my layout dismantling continues its snail-like pace. At least I have a new layout build to look forward to.

Shoveling, shoveling, ran trains, shovel, watch TV, shovel, shovel, eat Chinese food, shovel a bit more, walk around the cul-de-sac (can't go any further!), and a little more shoveling! Repeat tomorrow likely!
Well, since I have a broken rib and a grade 2 hamstring injury from trying to cross country ski down a hill with not enough snow last week, I'm just sitting here with some ice packs reading the forum.
Electricity has failed! (cough) Generator died. No power. (cough, cough). Can't run trains. (cough) Cell tower iced and collapsed. (choke, cough) No internet. (gasp) Roads closed. (gag) Send Corvuoissier by drone soon as possible! (cough) Hurry! (choke, cough, gasp)

I just booked my hotel room for the April York meet!
Ron--best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Silver Lake Great building flats for your layout !!
Ron, get well soon! At least you have a good excuse for not shoveling. Maybe SJC can come over and do it, he seems to be getting a lot of practice!
Well I've been saving 3 lbs of Maryland back fin crab meat from the summer's picking and just put a 6 qt. pot of Maryland crab soup on the burner. That's 2 lbs in the soup and another lb for my famous broiled crab cakes. Supper is looking pretty good.
Shoveling most of the late morning and early afternoon, participated in a Stout auction via the internet in which I bought nothing and forum watching. Tonight I plan to finish CTT's Display Layout speciality publication.
Having just gotten through plowing out our driveway (and the neighbors') about an hour ago, I'm just sitting here websurfing, doing a bit of email and thinking about what to make for dinner
Just came down after cleaning some snow out of the attic.

Leon Phelps, the Ladies Man?
Putting up trains I used during Christmas for our club layout at the Great Big Greenhouse in Midlothian, VA
Besides cleaning snow out of the driveway, I've been doing schoolwork. Hopefully the snow will be enough that we'll be off Monday as well, so I'll have time to run trains.
Got all my chores done. Some shoveling, lots of trim work on the kitchen renovation. Walk the dog. We live on the water, and 30mph wind with sleet in the face is not as fun as I remember.
Now going to mill up some wood for a trestle project.

HaHa!
True. They do kind of look like some detailed Buildings Unlimited Flats. The image would work as a printed flat if I could fix the keystoneing problem.

Maybe so but after several shifts, one out of three cars is reasonably dug out and, overall, the walk and driveway look like I didn't do anything all day! Maybe I shoulda bought that snowblower.......
Getting some things ready for a BLIZZARD SALE on the forum!!!
Cleaning snow!!!
Also, e-bay can get a little dangerous when you're snowed in......
Shoveling a looooooooooong pipeline driveway in southern MD. About halfway done. Tomorrow is breakout day!
Wev'e got almost no snow in Cleveland but it sounds like you guys are all making the best of things. This is great Train hobby weather.Nick
Blowing snow is about all I've managed to get done today. I have an atlas building kit to put together... Maybe tomorrow
No Snow on this side of the pond but plenty on the TV news from your side. 2" over here and we think the worlds ending
Stay safe guys and break out the Blue Label.

My wife goes stir crazy if she isn't doing something, and gets cabin fever in, like, 10 seconds if she can't get out. So she has been doing the shoveling. Mainly an area to put the generator if power goes out, plus behind the car to the street. Problem is the street has not been touched.
Me. I'm reading the DCS Companion 3rd Edition now getting ready to add MTH's Wi-Fi.
Ran trains this morning. Did some homework with the kid. Shoveled. Took a nap. Ready to run some trains tonight.
Well, the plan was to get a lot on the layout done today.
Ended up with other chores, watched the Penguins rally to beat the Canucks, finally did get the snowblower running. We will hit the driveway again tomorrow.

No snow here, except for the ski resorts in the mountains. Trying to get the energy to take down the Christmas tree, but lethargy is winning. Just got some DVD's in the mail, so that nails it for the evening.
