Now for some recent photos from me.
last Friday, April 25, the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the NRHS hosted the Spring conference of the society in Lewisburg, PA. For the attendees and a few others, a special passenger train ran on the newly rehabbed Union County Industrial line of the North Shore Railroad holdings. This is a former Reading Line.
Boarding was at the former West Shore RR excursion site north of Lewisburg called Delta Place.
Photo stops were made in Lewisburg, home to Bucknell University. North Shore SW1500 took the north end of the train, while Lycoming Valley GP35 took the south. The Geep was formerly Grand Trunk, if I heard right.
The Central Penna. Chapter has been preserving the Reading depot in White Deer a very long time, and this was our lunch stop for the day.
After lunch, there were some photo runbys which took place about a block away from the station, at a rehabilitated bridge crossing the road and river.
There were 3 runbys at the bridge, allwoing for many chances to get a different shot.
And here are some runby scenes at New Columbia, PA. To add a little bit of interest, the fire dept. took out one of their trucks by the crossing. I caught the runbys from both sides of the track.
