"Here he comes to save the day."

Do you remember the Mighty Mouse cartoons on TV when you were a kid?

So, you may be wondering what does this have to do with O Gauge trains; or, here we go again, another crazy topic posted by Arnold.

Well, this topic does have to do with O Gauge trains. There is something about two of my steam switchers that remind me of the star of that cartoon, so I have named them that: Mighty Mouse.

First, the classic: the Lionel early Postwar bell ringing 0-4-0 steam switcher # 1656. Here it is, easily pulling a long boxcar unit train:

This Mighty Mouse has heft, which makes it a very good puller for its size, and I find the bell ringer very charming, though I understand it drives others crazy.

Later, I will share my other Mighty Mouse steam switcher.

In the meantime, you can share whatever Mighty Mouse you may have in your collection. Arnold

So, for all of you past and present cartoon fans out there, here is my other Mighty Mouse steam switcher.

This one is an MTH 0-6-0 steam switcher with Loco sounds pulling a Postwar mixed freight:

It also has heft and is a great puller for its size. In addition, it has a nice horn and bell, and like all MTH engines, it has great smoke as shown below:

Both of these steam switchers are strong and fast like Mighty Mouse.

If only they could fly. LOL, Arnold
