I want to get TMCC in my Red Caboose Geeps but I have run into a problem. I don't think there is enough room for a TMCC board with the horizontal driveshaft and central mounted motor. Will a Mini COmmander fit? There is about a half inch between the top of the motor 'cage' and the roof.

It's taller than 1/2", it won't fit on top.

You may be able to put the MC2 alongside the motor or crossways on one end.  That's the clearance under that shaft?

I think you could probably put it across the frame and let the shaft go over the middle, there's lots of clearance there.  Check the picture, the shaft could run right between the two capacitors where there's a gap.  The board is only 2" long, so it'll just set sideways on double-sided foam tape, that comes with the kit.

How much room is there under the chassis inside that fake plastic fuel tank. And , although it is a pain if you are really close ( I have done this ) get new electrolytic capacitors for those 4 large vertical units ( same capacity and voltage ) remove the existing one and run wires between the board and the new capacitors in a different location or put 90 degree bends in the new capacitor leads and lay them horizontal instead of standing up. Kiss warranty goodbye but ......
