I purchased a group of the inexpensive mist humidifiers from Aliexpress. I noticed that you must press the on button each time you desire misting. This is a real pain especially if you have the unit hidden in a structure which is not easily accessible. I placed a dot of solder on the back side of the board where the switch is, thus making permanent contact and added a remote switch on my table. Voila !! Problem solved. I just wanted to share. Thanks

Yeah, I agree. You could, of course, just locate the board where convenient and run an extension of the power wires between the board and transducer as needed. However, the button on the board is not particularly user-friendly in location, so bypassing it as you've done seems like a good solution! The best I could come up with is using a translucent glue stick to 'poke' the button on the board mounted below it, and incidentally conduct the light from the blue LED on the board to the surface, as shown beginning about 45 seconds into this video:
