Just a short note. I hope those that bought the MP E6, and perhaps those that have reserved the MP T&P E7 offering will be interested in seeing the later Jenks blue version of the Eagle cars. A Jenks run won’t be as complex as this Eagle run. It’s important that you let Scott know of your interest !!!!!!!!
Here’s some pix to whet your (train) whistle.

NDM fans - think 10-6 Budd with 6 wheel trucks in Jenks blue. Very prominent on the Aztec Eagle.

Lots to look forward to !!! Email Scott to get these cars offered !!!
Cheers 😉

Hi Ricky.

I don't know if you saw my earlier post regarding Griff's similar issue but I had a similar problem and on Scott's advice removed the car ends and found a lighting plug had detached itself. Fingers crossed it'll be the same case for you!

Great posts of your Eagle too...much appreciated!

Best wishes,

Steve

Thanks Steve!

I knew I had seen someone post about having to do that. I hope that is all I have to do.

Glad you liked the video! Thanks for watching!

I'd love to have a business car in this paint scheme!

Hey a heads up for you MOP guys Berwyns Toys and Trains is doing a Jenks blue pair of MP GP-7s  by MTH. There will be two cab numbers available. They remind me of the ones I shot 8mm movies of in the 60’s. In fact i did an Athaern HO undec in that scheme and still have it. Anyway they are $579 - I’d  buy one for nostalgia’s sake but I’m kinda busted after the Eagle consist and I’m saving for the upcoming GGD T&P E unit. And April 15…

Thanks Griff. It’s just delivered so it probably won’t sell out that quickly. You can pace your savings 😉 …. and get past April 15 first 🫣😖

Cheers 🙂

Here’s a bit of fun 😜

This is a very St  Louis-centric image. Obviously a lot of MP.  We have the E8 (3rd Rail) in the lower left waiting for its Eagle consist (GGD) - lurking in the far background (includes NDM car).  The B&O Slumber Coach (GGD) has arrived on the National Ltd and is being moved into its place on the Eagle by a TRRA SW15 switcher (MTH RK). MP GP35s (Atlas) are just above the TRRA diesel, left of the GPs is a MRS MP15 (Atlas). In the yard tracks, one can find a visible MP box (Atlas) and a red-white Frisco caboose (Atlas). Toward the back MP coal hoppers (Atlas) are visible.  Very St  Louis-centric !!!!! Lots of Fun !!!  Cheers 😉

Jenks E6, Eagle 5BR-lounge, heavyweight Jenks baggage car (custom).
In case you’ve missed it in another GGD thread , Scott is considering doing a new run of heavyweights. MP, T&P should be in the run - hopefully in Eagle AND Jenks paint. Email him and let him know you Are Interested !!!

I must have missed that thread as I've been out of town a lot lately. Do you have a link?

FYI - few Eagle Sets and cars remain. 🫣🫢It’s Actually a bit less than what’s shown on the GGD webpage as I’ve picked up a 3rail TP 5BR- Lounge, Coach, and Set. I found two others to split the set with me. Splitting a set is a good way to add some extra cars. I was able to add some TP to my MP cars.
Just a reminder - car Numbers and Names for cars in MP vs T&P sets Are Different. And in each road, there were sets A and B. Names and numbers Are Also Different in A and B. (An exception being the T&P Dome car - there was Only one number so it is found in set A and B.)

Cheers 😉

The new run of E7s will be going into production in May !!!!!!  Time to step up with your MP and T&P reservations in Eagle and Jenks paint !!!!!!
(Remember, only MP has “B” units for the E7s and neither MP or TP had E8 “B”s.)

Cheers 😉

Exciting, but where are you seeing that production will start in May? The websight doesn't  say anything.

Well, Scott had posted a newsy note in a new thread about What’s coming and When !!!  E7s heading into production, reservations closing APRIL 15 !!!  😜
Step Up Time folks for those MP, T&P    units !!!!!    😜🙂😉

Don’t ignore those JENKS Units either ……. Because ……in the same note he Announces a Future Run of MP JENKS Cars AND some Additional NEW cars for the Texas Eagle that were not done in Run 1 !!!!!!! Can’t have those Jenks diesels without cars to go with them !!!!!!!!! 😮🫢    😉😉

But wait - there’s more.

Plastic Heavyweights are being Q’d for a new run. MP and T&P will be in the mix. Let Scott know which cars you’ll want to see. I’d like to see included MP and TP modernized baggage cars (think mail / express / secondary trains) and coaches for sure.

Lots coming down the pike !!!!!!
Cheers 🙂😜😉

I’m emailing Scott for shadowline heavyweights in multiple road names

If my memory serves me, I think 2 NDM heavyweight coaches in front (1 first class, 1 second class ????) and 1 or 2 NDM sleeper in the rear - could be a mix of heavyweights and streamline NDM 10-5s (stay tuned) or 10-6s. MP 10-6 for sure and I think a MP Grill Coach (but not sure streamline its heavyweight). Info is still tough figuring out even with TRRA Book. I just pick up bits n pieces of info here n there. You’ll have another shot at a MP 10-6 with 6 wheel trucks when Scott gets to doing the MP Jenks cars !!!

Cheers 😉

Is Jenks definitely happening? I would love a 6 wheel NdeM 10-6 sleeper.

so to start the Aztec Eagle I would need to reserve 2 pre-war NdeM coaches and 1 NdeM 12-1 sleeper. I have the grill coach from the Eagle set and also a 6 wheel MP 10-6 sleeper. I also have 1 heavyweight MP coach from Scott’s 1st run. What diesels pulled the Aztec?

Scott tipped everyone in the 3 rail forum that the MP Jenks will come in his topic “E7 closing soon and spring 24 Update” (paraphrased).  Stay tuned……… 😉

I hope you got a NDM 10-6 that was an extra in the Eagle offering  I think we will eventually see the earlier NDM 10-5 too. I got the 3rd Rail NDM F3 offering when the 10-6 was finally included in the Eagle offering. These two items are the only NDM items I’m aware of in O scale. My Nascent Aztec Eagle.

NdeM purchased most if not all of their passenger cars used, so they ran almost every type of heavyweight in multiple paint schemes. I've seen pre-war coaches, 12-1 sleepers, 8-1-2 sleepers, and almost every other heavyweight produced.

References and Images of NDM are a bit difficult to find - at least for me. I’ve supplied Scott with some pix for the heavyweight NDM Coach and 12-1 sleeper.  I’ve yet to spot a 8-1-2. If you have a Link to show 8-1-2, please post here for us to see and send an image to Scott so he can add it to the new  heavyweight offering. The 12-1 and 8-1-2 are the only heavyweight sleepers for which Scott has tooling. They will be Great additions to a growing NDM fleet.

https://www.worthpoint.com/wor...-2nd-class-151242201  NdeM 2nd class coach. How about asking Scott to do these as pre-war coaches. Maybe post war could be 1st class?

For whatever reason, I’m finding 2nd class coaches. I’ve found One “mixed” (?) first class on one end, second on the other end car. The hunt continues …..🤔 I’ve found no true “modernized” heavyweight coach examples.
So far, NDM Coach, 12-1, and 8-1-2 have been documented via pictures and Scott now lists in the offering.
I’m still digging for MP and T&P. As usual, there’s no simple source. 🫢
It’s still early !!!!!!
Cheers 😉

Everyone —— please contribute what you might uncover in your web browsing !!!😜

i wonder what the final color scheme will be? So far I've found pics of coaches, 12-1's and 8-1-2's in three different paint schemes: all green, green with the orange stripe, and green with a white roof. There doesn't seem to be any type of reason for it other than purchase date maybe.

All of the different car styles should make an interesting train.

I think it is great to see that others are N de M enthusiasts! When I emailed Scott a few years ago about adding N de M F units to the production run, he told me if we could get 10 orders he would make them. I did not think it would happen but I posted his offer on this forum and unbelievably he got enough orders to make them. Since then, there was a second run of F units and sleeper add-ons for the MoPac el Azteca. Now it looks like we will actually get a full N de M train!

I emailed Scott most of the pics I have of N de M heavyweights. Most the pics I have are the standard green with orange stripe. Posting pics is not allowed anymore, but if any can point me in the direction of other pics of N de M equipment I would appreciate it. The pics I send included a mail car and an observation car. I hope to see those cars in future production!

I wonder if there are enough N de M fans to get Scott to build a Northern-type locomotive, referred to as a "Niagara" in Mexico.

I have pix of NdeM streamlined sleepers in St. Louis. The are all dark green with orange stripe. I have read that heavyweight sleeper might, Might have made the journey - but I can find No photo evidence.
I’m Very Photo Driven.
The addition of the NdeM 10-6 to the Eagle offering and hence “linkage” to the Aztec Eagle, gives an opening to add cars / build an an Aztec Eagle consist. The heavyweights are a nice opportunity to do so. Since the Large majority of pix I see match the GGD 10-6, I believe the new heavyweights should be painted to match.
N deM and MP heavyweights together or a HW - streamlined mixed is possible. Later consists with most SL cars - well those pix so far are not there.   SL  Jenks cars in later Aztec Eagle consists look quite prominent. I’ve found a 2 pic sequence of 4 MP Jenks cars being pushed across the Rio Grand into Mexico - 10-6 Budd, poss Baggage, and 2 I’ve yet to ID (photos from afar). These cars and the dark green orange stripe Nde M cars are contemporaneous. Of course, mixes are undoubtedly inevitable.
Build your consist the way you like. I’m building consists on multiple roads and it’s one or two cars at a time. The Aztec Eagle will be eclectic and visually interesting (IMHO).
Cheers 😉

On a complete tangent when I asked Scott to make the Ferromex SD40-2s he said I had to reserve enough to make them happen as he didn't think anyone else would be interested, except Jonathan.  We were wrong.   Sufficient others were interested so that I didn't have purchase many.  So good so that if there is a 2nd run of SD40-2s hopefully he'll do them in the newer gray with a red stripe livery.

There’s some growing interest in Mexican power and passenger consists.
I too hope for another SD40-2 run down the road for Frisco (canceled 😖😵😞), MKT, and another version of MP.
The MP Texas Eagle - NdeM Aztec Eagle linkage helps NdeM consist builders.
Good fun for us !!!! 😜😜😜
