If people posting replies to this thread had followed the original request to post their own examples using the format shown, Derek would have done so already. But almost everyone has made the simple cut-and-paste goal impossible by ignoring that request. I don’t know if Derek has the time to create what would now be a labor-intensive list.

Yup pretty much this. Moving forward if the submissions are not in the correct format I'm not adding it to the top post.
Williams 4949 Pacific
Gearbox tower/ axle gear cover; brittle and easily broken.
(Hope I did this correctly...)
Mark in Oregon
In 1984 Lionel produced a Union Pacific F-3 passenger set. I had one that had four shades of yellow paint. When Lionel produced the American Flyer Oil Drum Loader out of the first 36 I received, almost all of them didn't work correctly.
Current full scale dome cars. The dome is thin clear plastic with a painted frame. Due to bad packaging, they can be easily broken with NO REPLACEMENT PARTS!

MTH RailKing train set 2-6-0 circa 1999, especially the PRR version in Brunswick Green. Check the tops of the boiler domes carefully, that's where I noticed it. I have a photo that I'll add as soon as I find it. Zinc pest doesn't affect every one produced, I have seen clean examples, but it pays to ask a prospective seller for detailed photos.
