Ok I am sure you guys wont mind me opening this thread a few days early. I am in the Smoky Mountains and took my kids to ride the former White Pass & Yukon #70. My 2 year old son really enjoyed the ride, my 11 month old fell asleep even though we sat right behind the locomotive and it was loud! You really could hear her work hard pulling up the 5 and 6% grades on the trip.

Did you get soot on you from riding so close to the engine.

Alex We took the train 2 times. Once last night and once this afternoon. The 2nd trip we sat in the 5th car and I was able to grab that shot.

Regardless of where you were, or what you were doing, that cap on your two year olds head is always an awesome ambassador wherever it appears.

My favorite team for over 65 years, and I didn't know who they were either when I was your sons age !!!
