Atlas already did exactly that and knocked it out of the park. No point in MTH investing in new tooling for it off all things.
Really waiting on a reissue of the MTH Premier DD-1 Electric. They did it once with PS2 5-volt boards circa 2002-ish and have never done them again. I and a few train friends are all wanting a set of these and I'm not willing to deal with a 5-volt board PS2 rendition.

They are impossible to find and I see a lot of people trying to buy them with no success. The full dome and 2 car set are especially hard to find.

It's okay. They need to Refresh / Release an Updated C30-7. The old Premier and now Scaleking is dated.
