I have a Proto 2.0 Premier UP Mikado that I lost one of the boiler walkways off of.  It appears they were glued on and three of the four became mobile.  I must have lost the front left one at a show because it is nowhere to be found.  On the MTH website I found a diagram and it is labeled part #15 but there is nothing on the parts list as far as part number and price.  In fact all the labeled parts are just blank.  How may I go about getting this part with no part number listed.  Please don't tell me that parts are unavailable.  What in fact would that mean?  That the manufacturer expects us to discard locos when a part fails?  Any advice appreciated please.

My first recommendation would be to repost this in the "Hi-Rail, O27 and Traditional 3-Rail O Gauge" forum because you'll probably get more responses.

Second is that from personal experience MTH usually doesn't stock "detail" parts from their locomotives.  There are some companies (Plano and PSC for example) which make brass diamond tread material.  The big problem is matching the pattern with the pieces you still have.  You may either have to accept a mismatch, or replace all of them.  Plus you'll have to cut the material to fit the walkways.

Good luck!
