Ok I’m stumped, I haven’t run the Layout in a while. When attempting to start it up I get nothing. The messages on the Handheld are both Out of Range and Engine not found. I’ve always been able to find the problem but not this time. Dirty Track or something else. I need suggestions.

Unfortunately we are too. You haven't given us enough information to help diagnose the problem.
For instance, here are some questions that might help:
- Does this only happen with one locomotive? Or are several involved and all exhibit the same symptoms?
- Are you getting 18VAC on the track after powering up the TIU?
- Are you using the phone app or the handheld remote?
- If using the remote, are the batteries in it still good?
- Does the locomotive/Do the locomotives work in conventional mode with a traditional transformer?

I moved this to the DCS forum. Don't understand how it got into 3-rail scale.....

Answer to some of these. One locomotive so far but this one was the last one to run on the layout. Yes 18 Vac on the track. Using the Handheld. Replaced Batteries. The only thing I haven’t checked is conventional operations. Thanks, all good advice. I’ll be looking farther.
If the engine hasn’t been run for a while and is a Proto 2. If it’s already in the remote. Try deleting it. Then try to re add it.
Thanks Dave, this is PS 3. But I can try it anyway.
