I am at a standstill on my layout. I have a 28" gap to span and need at least 5" between center rails for the Big Boy to traverse the rails without
overhang problems. Can anyone advise me as to the distance between center rails on MTH's 40-1111 ?? I do not need to spend any more $$$

Thanks a bunch. I am trying to get something going before I have out of town visitors in a few weeks. Building what I need is the perfect answer. But in the interest of time I will need to purchase some singles to satisfy the immediate need.
