I have the MTH #30-1078 lamp sets. Several bulbs have burned out. Does anyone have an idea what size replacement bulb is required? Should I be using the fixed 14 volt or the fixed 10 volt on my Z4000? Thanks.

I'm guessing that the 10 volt supply will result in longer life for the lamps.
Thanks gunrunnerjohn. I guess I should have put this on the electrical forum.
Also, these lights are connected to a buss wire which also has four small interior building lights connected to it as well as the MTH station and side platforms. Does this make a difference in voltage requirement?
Well, I doubt you'll do any damage trying lower voltage. If these are all incandescent lamps, the lower voltage will result in much longer life. The tradeoff is less light of course, but many times that works out better anyway.
... Or use a cheap 12v transformer with all of the 14v lamps. A little brighter AND longer bulb life.
RS has a 3amp 12v transformer for about $11. I use one for all the lights on the kid's layout.
