I recently bought a new MTH 30-7989 operating log car on ebay. The car works great with my Lionel log loader, no more throwing logs all over the layout. Of course, I can not use the MTH logs as they will not work with the Lionel log loader.
The issue I have is that when I more the car over an MTH uncoupler track, the car will not uncouple unless I use my finger to push down on the top of the coupler so that the "tack" is closer to the magnet. In comparing the coupler height with other MTH cars, it's right on. Other cars do not have this issue.
Has anyone else had this issue and if so, how did you fix it? Maybe I need to add another "tack" to the one that is one there.
