I just bought the 20-66285 2 car set in Amtrak phase I and the finish looks to me as if someone picked them up before the paint or maybe the clear coat was dry. Both cars have the same about the size of a hand blemish in exactly the same places,the middle of the roof and down the sides to the window line. I just can't get over this and am disappointed. I don't think a photo I can make will show it. Anyone else notice this or I am just being too picky?

Well if you can't show it in a photo, you might be just too picky.

So retrun them and get a new set. These are still available directly from MTH plus a bunch of dealers. Should be easy to replace if it bothers you that much.

I have the same set in the Phase IVb paint scheme and don't have any of the blemishes that you're describing.
