I am having an issue with my MTH Premier Genesis 20-2189 engine. It can;t seem to make it over my Atlas O double crossover switch section. My sons and I have had this engine awhile...we recently have revamped our interest in running the trains and don't ever remember having an issue years ago.....does anyone else experience this? Is the engine too long for the switches? Any insight would be helpful...thanks in advance.

Guessing its the ole roller spacing issue. Are they sitting on the dead spots of the switches.
Yes... I think that is the issue... however I am not sure where the dead spots are exactly...
Is there a remedy?
You can simply test for dead spots by wiring up a bulb and applying the leads to various parts of the rails. Its probably the center rail, but who knows?
If you run a power lead to the switch make sure it's homerun wiring.
