MTH has never made one of these...as Norfolk Southern was the only railroad to purchase them, was a 4000 HP standard cab engine, now they are all rebuilt into AC44C6M’s
This one started life as a narrow nose dash 8, with some handy work from Jeff Sohn and MTH dash 9 sideframes, now I have a one off engine!
(side note, 8879 became the ‘sonic bonnet’ 4001)
