I’ve had similar issues. How is your layout set up as far as power is concerned? How many tracks are you running?

Power is zw-l, 4 tracks, separate power supply to TIU.

that is a generic message that can pop up for many reasons.

Happens to me all the time. Some ideas:

1. If you've powered up the WIU before the track itself, the WIU won't have registered the track signal just yet. Refresh. 
2. If the WIU has recently come up, then your handheld (iPad, iPhone, Android, whatever) may still be on another WiFi signal. Check for that. Make sure the MTH DCS WIFI is active. 
3. Gremlins. Refresh. 
4. Power down the track then power it up again. Refresh the app.
